| Overview : | | More than 8,000 students visited the Education India and Beyond Exhibition during 8-10 Sept., 2005 and attended the Junction MBA Students Seminars conducted by Career Launcher and other reputed Management Institutes of India. All the sessions of Country-by-Country Seminars, conducted by seven overseas Educational bodies were fully packed.
Dr. B. L. Mungekar, Honorable Member, Planning Commission, Government of India, inaugurated the Education India & Beyond Exhibition & Conference on 8th September, 2005 at 11.00 a.m. at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Around 12 Countries participated in the Event i.e. Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom & USA besides hosts India. The Country Netherlands participated in EDUCATION INDIA & BEYOND with 12 renowned Netherlands Universities as the Focus Country to promote Holland Education in India.
Apart from the Management Institutes, renowned Indian Universities like Anna University and Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi, also attended the exhibition.
Concurrent to the Exhibition a high profile Conference on India as a Global Player in Education: Opportunities and Challengers also took place in 4 sessions from September 8 & 9, 2005.
Eminent Speakers like Prof. Ashoka Chandra, Former Special Secretary, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India & Chairman Conference Committee, Prof. Arun Nigavekar, Chairman U.G.C, Prof. D. V. Singh, Former Vice Chairman, AICTE & Former Vice Chancellor, Roorkee University, Prof. K. K. Aggarwal, Vice Chancellor, GGS Indraprastha University, Prof. Amrik Singh, Former Vice Chancellor, Punjab University, Mr. M. N. Faruqui, Former Vice Chancellor, ligarh University etc. participated in the deliberations in the various sessions.
A Seminar on The World-Class Way to Work-BPO Career Vision was organized by NASSCOM on 10th September, 2005 for the benefit of the Students, Principals, Teachers and Parents.
Other Highlights of the Event were:
· Country-by-Country Seminars for the Students by Overseas Educational bodies i.e. AEI [Australia], CEC [Canada], DAAD [Germany], USEFI [USA], British Council [U.K], NUFFIC [Holland], Study New Zealand [New Zealand].
· Career Counselling on Engineering Education by IIT-Delhi.
· Career Launcher will organize junction MBA- on MBA Studies.
· Study Abroad Life-Style Seminar by Ready to go Magazine.
· Resume Guidance by naukri.com.
