| Overview : | The second edition of Partmart & Autocare - The Automotive after-market and Services Exposition was held from February 9-12, 2005, at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The event was planned to coincide with the 16th International Engineering and Technology Fair [IETF-2005].
The exposition was organised by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India [ACMA] jointly with the Confederation of Indian Industry [CII]. This event was supported by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers [SIAM], Federation of Automobile Dealers Association [FADA] and Federation of All India Automobile Spare parts Dealers Association [FAIASPDA].
The objective of Partmart and Autocare 2005 was to highlight the strength and business potential of the Automotive after-market segment in India.
Forty six companies including two from Taiwan displayed products ranging from auto spares to auto care items in an area of 700 sq. mtrs. at Hall 6 of Pragati Maidan.
The show was inaugurated by Mr. Madhur Bajaj, Vice-President, SIAM.
Partmart and Autocare was visited by representatives of vehicle manufacturing companies, dealers, distributors, exporters and importers.
Individual buyers from Italy, Iran, US, Germany, Australia, Pakistan, UAE, Thailand, Israel, Russia, Bangladesh and Japan also visited besides delegations from Germany, Russia and UK
Two concurrent events were also organised -1] An anti-counterfeiting campaign where member companies of ACMA displayed their genuine products and the corresponding fakes to educate and create awareness on the menace of counterfeiting. 2] A conference titled "Global Automotive Afetrmarket" with speakers from China, Australia, USA and India.
As per the feedback collected from Exhibitors 85 per cent said on the whole the show was good. 50 per cent of the exhibitors said they would like to participate in next show while the rest said it was too early to decide. All of them said that they were satisfied with the stand design while 93 per cent opined that the services provided by ACMA was excellent.
